Day Trip- Springfield, Massachusetts 7/27/2012

Part 10, Lyman & Merrie Wood Museum of Springfield History across the street from the Springfield Museums quadrangle.  Milton Bradley invented the Checkered Game of Life in 1860 and was updated to The Game of Life in 1960.  There is an elementary school named after him, as he and his wife for early supporters of Kindergarten. Milton Bradley Company is a division of Hasbro Toys (Pawtucket, RI).   

Take the G3 (green #3), B6 (blue #6), or B7 (blue #7) bus from downtown Springfield.  Get off at the Springfield Public Library stop. Free admission courtesy of Free Fun Fridays 2012.
